Partnerships

Partnerships enable you to display your products on other channels in order to get more sales.

You can setup your channel to allow permissionless partnerships which will enable any other channel to directly partner with your channel.

You can also setup your channel to not allow permissionless partnerships which will create a partnership request every time a user runs the partnership function of your channel.

Setting Up Permissioned Partnerships

  • From your channel's main page click on the Settings button

  • Now click on the Modify Collection button and at the very bottom of the form that opens up, pick Yes for the Partner Permission Required field. Validate the form and confirm the transaction.

Your channel will now create a partnership request every time a channel will want to partner with yours instead of just directly accepting the channel as a partner.

Partnering With A Channel

Here is a step by step guide to partnering with a channel:

  • Go to the main page of the channel you want partner with

  • Click on the Partner button, fill in the form with the appropriate information (hovering over the help icon will provide with a description of each parameter) and validate the form

  • If the channel allows permissionless partnerships, you will instantly be listed as a partner of the channel. You can view your channel by going under the partner tab next to the home tab on your main page. It is the one represented by the icon of two hands shaking. If you cannot find your channel, make sure to reload the page.

  • If the channel does not allow permissionless partnerships, a request will be sent to the channel admin under the Requests tab which he/she can approve or reject. In case your request is approved, you will be able to see your channel displayed just like in the image above

Accepting Partnership Requests

In case your channel does not accept permissionless partnerships, after a user completes the previous step to partner with your channel, you will receive a partnership request under the Requests tab on your channel's main page like in the image below:

Click on the Accept button to accept the request or on the Reject button to reject it. If you need more information about the channel you can click on the See Channel link on the applying channel's widget to go view the content of the channel or get the contact information of its owner.

After accepting your partnership requests, you should be able to view your partners from the Items tab under the partners icon

Adding Items To Your Partner Wall

  • Go to the partners' tab of your partner channel, find your channel and click on it. You should have a wall show up like in the image below

  • You can only add products that you have already listed on your own channel to your wall on partner channels. Click on the Add button to proceed.

  • Fill in and validate the form to add your item to the wall. You can add normal products, NFTs or even paywalls to your partner wall. In case you are adding a paywall, make sure to pick the option Yes for the field Is This A Paywall?

Congratulations! You have successfully partnered with a channel and added a product to your partner wall. Now all users of your partner channel will be able to view and purchase your product.

Updating The Minimum Partnership Fee

Whenever one of your users buys a partner product from your channel, you can setup your channel to collect a certain percentage. To update the minimum percentage you are willing to take on each partner product sale, go to your channel's main page and click on the Settings button to open the settings menu and then click on the Modify Collection button. Find the Referrer Fee field and update it to the minimum percentage you are willing to take on each sale of a partner product. Validate the form and confirm the transaction.

From now on, your partners can't list any product that rewards you with less than 10% of the sale price at each sale. This change does not apply to any partner product listed before this update.
